This webinar will provide a guided tour of the new website, Research Methods Resources, and discuss its relevance to the changes in NIH requirements for applications for clinical trials submitted on or after January 25, 2018. It will include examples to illustrate the use of the sample size calculator for group- or cluster-randomized trials, which is included on the website.


Upcoming FOA from PCORI

A new, upcoming funding opportunity from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI), entitled, “Symptom Management for Patients with Advanced Illness” will be announced on June 23, 2017.  This advanced notice, which can also be found on the PCORI website, is being provided to allow potential applicants additional time to identify collaborators, obtain stakeholder input on the research question, and develop responsive, high-quality proposals.

Presenter: Elaine Morrato, DrPH MPH is the Associate Dean for Public Health Practice at the Colorado School of Public Health.  Her research focuses on accelerating the translation of drug warnings into clinical practice.  She directs the Pragmatic Trials and Dissemination and Implementation Research program and the Innovation-Corps training program for commercialization in the Colorado Clinical & Translational Sciences Institute.
