Pilot Funding Opportunities
Each year, the PCRC releases a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), encouraging the proposal and conduct of small pilot studies. Annual FOAs are posted on or around the first of February. PCRC pilot awards provide seed funding to investigators to support them in building the science of palliative care. Pilot data would then ideally be used to inform the design of and application for larger, extramurally-funded research studies conducted in collaboration with the PCRC. In addition to receiving funding to conduct the pilots, awardees also have the opportunity to participate in PCRC-led investigator development activities, and have access to senior investigators in the field who may be willing to serve as a mentor/coach.
Eligibility: Any individual(s) with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out the proposed research is invited to develop an application for support. Individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups as well as individuals with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply.
We have divided this section into NIH Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) and non-NIH Funding and Training Opportunities. For each list, relevant funding announcements are posted on this page as the PCRC becomes aware of them. If a relevant funding announcement is not listed, we would greatly appreciate you e-mailing us at PCRC@ucdenver.edu with the relevant FOA information for posting. Thank you for helping us keep this list up to date for the entire PCRC Community!
