Palliative Care Mentorship Selective
This six-week longitudinal training course, called the Mentorship Selective, seeks to foster a culture of mentoring by supporting mid-level and senior palliative care investigators in further developing their mentoring skills to successfully draw new investigators into palliative care research.
Each week, the course will cover mentoring topics including maintaining effective communication, aligning expectations, assessing understanding, addressing equity and inclusion, fostering independence, and promoting professional development. Instruction will occur over videoconference for one hour per week.
When: 6 Wednesday sessions beginning March 27th, 3-4pm Eastern Time.
March 27, April 3, April 10, April 17, April 24, May 1.
Classroom: Zoom videoconference and weekly reading assignments
Requirements: To benefit fully from this program, participants should commit to attending all six sessions and to reading instructional materials before each session . Participants who attend all six sessions will receive a Certificate of Recognition from the PCRC.

Selection Criteria: Applicants must be PCRC members and demonstrate a commitment to mentorship. Mentor applicants whose active mentees are PCRC members will be given priority.
